Every iPhone, iPad, iPod, and Mac comes with a one year warranty against manufacturing defects and hardware failures. If you choose, you can also extend that warranty for additional years with AppleCare. Regardless which warranty you have, you can easily find out whether or not your Apple products are currently covered. Here’s how:
How to check your AppleCare coverage on an iPhone, iPad, iPod, or Mac
- Find the serial number of your Apple product. If you aren’t sure where it is, Apple has a support page to help you locate it – Click here to find your serial number
- Go to the following link in Safari on your Mac, iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Apple Warranty Status
- Type in the serial number or IMEI of your Apple product that you found in step 1.
- You should now see a page letting you know whether or not you’re in warranty.
If you haven’t extended your product coverage with AppleCare, you can purchase a plan online by clicking on the button to extend your coverage under the AppleCare coverage section. If you’re within warranty you can also set up a repair using this page or contact AppleCare support.
